ABOUT: This search engine is possible as a result of the labor of 1000s of micro-volunteers who have been tagging images at the HAITI IMAGE TAGGER. Using just their eyes, these volunteers are providing very accurate image recognition data so that these images become much more useful to families and rescue workers.

For example, if your missing loved one is a teenage girl who usually wears her favorite pink dress, you can search the database for "teenage women, pink, dress" - and if there's a photo of her and she was wearing her pink dress, there's a very good chance you'll find it.

What we need now are more photos from the news to be submitted to Flickr.com with the tags "haiti, earthquake" - If you work for a news organization, please upload your photos there - or provide an image feed in a standard format. Please contact support@beextra.org with the feed information.

For developers:
You can consume a feed of these images in JSON by clicking the JSON button below - or by constructing your own query. Here's a sample query that outputs in JSON: http://app.beextra.org/appflickr/find/format/json?peopleinphoto=people-yes&gender=gender-male&age=age-teen&alive=alive-yes&othertags=&tags=people-yes%2Cgender-male%2Cage-teen%2Calive-yes
